Brett Garabedian, PhD

Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Brett trained as a chemical biologist and protein engineer at UC Berkeley, the University of Basel, and Scripps Research, and has co-authored nine publications and four patents.

He invented the SHEDTAC platform, authored of the founding paper, and started Ablytx in 2024 to develop SHEDTAC therapeutics to help underserved patients. Brett leads scientific strategy and preclinical execution from molecule design through in vivo pharmacology, and directs intellectual property, financing, and partnerships.

Ablytx operates from JLABS San Diego and holds a Johnson & Johnson Golden Ticket.
